Roebuck's move to the Liga F champions has been all but confirmed in recent months, however, there have been questions marks over her future after the Lionesses goalkeeper revealed that she had suffered a stroke. Yet Barcelona remain determind to land the stopper from Manchester City, according to Diario Sport.

According to the report, Barca have been monitoring her health constantly, and they, together with the medical team, think that neither the medication nor the stroke will have any negative consequences on her brain function or vision. The team hopes to bring in a completely-fit Roebuck this summer, as current number one Sandro Panos is poised to leave the club.
Getty ImagesDID YOU KNOW?
It is believed that Roebuck will be signed as a backup goalkeeper to youngster Cata Coll, who will be the undisputed starter for major matches while Roebuck will deputise alongside Gemma Font. However, the final call will only be made once Pere Romeu takes over the reigns from Jonatan Giraldez at the end of the season.

Tessmann & Busio share Olympic ambitionsDuo believe Venezia chemistry will benefit U.S.Look ahead at Paris Games this summerWHAT HAPPENED?
In an interview with FIFA, the American duo shared their Olympic ambitions ahead of the Paris Games this Summer, while also actively being in a promotion battle in Serie B with Venezia. Three years after arriving during the same transfer window as teenagers, the midfield pairing are now ready to lead the USMNT in their first appearance at the Summer Games since the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
AdvertisementGetty ImagesWHAT BUSIO SAID
On the Games, Busio said he believes the U.S. will surprise a lot of people, with a brilliant opportunity awaiting the squad.
“I believe we can do something special there,” said Busio. “We have very talented young players. We’ll have the older guys coming in, too, and they're going to be a big help for us. We have guys playing in Europe, in MLS, all over the world. I think we're as talented as any other team.”
The 21-year-old has dreamt of the opportunity for quite some time, and is now ready to take the stage that so many historic athletes have stepped foot on to.
“Like every American, we grew up watching the Olympics,” said Busio. “I remember watching iconic athletes producing amazing moments, like Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps. They were the two main ones for me. It would be incredible to be at an event like that. I hope me and Tanner can do it.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Busio also believes that the midfield duo's chemistry in Venice could be the biggest boost the U.S. have heading into the Paris Games, with over two years of training and matches alongside each other in Italy.
"One of the main things for coaches and national teams is to build a group that will fight for each other and a team that has chemistry. That's hard to do when you only have two or three camps together before the Olympics. For myself and Tanner to have that connection means we can work with other players more – we don't have to worry about each other. We know what we can do together," the ex-Sporting Kansas City midfielder added.
The young midfielders are currently focused on promotion into Serie A with Venezia, but in the back of their minds, they'll also be thinking of the opportunity that awaits them this Summer. As two of the first-choice players under Mitrovic, they'll be looking to lock their names into his XI this Summer.

Getty ImagesWHAT TESSMANN SAID
Tessmann also believes their relationship – on and off the pitch – has been one that is beneficial to the U.S. ahead of this Summer.
“It's fun to play with Busio,” said Tessmann, who calls him by his nickname, ‘Buse’. “We have a spark to us in midfield. Our relationship off the pitch also helps. We've become close friends and that allows us to communicate better on the field.”
Ahead of this Summer, though, Tessmann is incredibly confident in the player pool, the U.S. squad and everything that has brought them together ahead of this moment.
"We have a lot of talents who are playing in different parts of the world. It's very interesting to see them play in their respective leagues. We have diversity in how we play and where we come from, and it really adds to the group. Our coach, Marko [Mitrovic], is doing a great job with us. When he brings it all together, I believe the team can be very strong. I think we can do something big."

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers looks to be drawing up his plans for the January window and now it has emerged that the Scottish Premiership champions are embroiled in a race to sign a highly-rated midfielder.
Celtic gear up for Scottish Premiership return…
At present, Celtic players are either on international duty or reporting to Lennoxtown for mid-break training as they await the return of Scottish Premiership action on November 25th, where the Hoops will take on Motherwell at Parkhead. In some positive news involving one Hoops player who is away with his native national side, Marco Tilio made his long-awaited return from injury to feature for Australia Under-23's in a 2-1 friendly victory over Qatar.
Republic of Ireland international Liam Scales, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise at Celtic this campaign after previously looking set to depart for Aberdeen in the summer, has also enjoyed a commendable time of things on international duty from a personal perspective, recording an impressive Fotmob rating of 7.1/10 for his exploits in a 1-0 defeat to the Netherlands in EURO 2024 qualifying over in Amsterdam.
Nevertheless, Rodgers will undoubtedly be keen for club action to return and will also be casting an eye towards the January transfer window as he looks to add extra squad depth.Recent reports from Germany have intimated that versatile Nurnberg attacker Kanji Okunuki is on the radar at Parkhead after being scouted by Celtic on several occasions.
Bologna striker Sydney van Hooijdonk, who is the son of former Celtic icon Pierre van Hooijdonk, was linked with a move to the Hoops in the summer and has spoken about potentially departing the Serie A outfit in January:
"I’m fine. I’m at a good team and I like life a lot. But I have to do what’s best for my growth. For my career. I also have to play. In football, things can change quickly. There are two months left until January and who knows what will happen? Now, there is Joshua (Zirkzee), who is playing a great season. Do the rumours about my possible transfer bother me? It’s normal when you don’t play."
Now, it has emerged that Hoops manager Rodgers could have a highly-rated young midfielder in his sights this January, according to a fresh report.
Celtic keeping tabs on Lennon Miller
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Celtic are keeping tabs on Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller, despite the fact the 17-year-old recently signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal at Fir Park.

Nevertheless, they will face stiff competition to land the Scotland Under-19 international. Rangers, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Brentford and West Ham United are also watching his progress at close quarters.
Miller, who has been labelled "super talented" by Celtic head of academy coaching Steven Hammell, has shown tenacious qualities in the Scottish Premiership this term, completing around 2.6 tackles and one interception on average per league fixture. (Miller statistics – WhoScored)
Catching the eye with his performances, Miller appears to be an exciting prospect that could go on to be a future star for the Scotland national team, making it no surprise that Celtic are taking notice of his development.

PSG march ahead of the Blues in Osimhen pursuit
English club must focus on alternatives
WHAT HAPPENED?
Osimhen has been on the radar of several top clubs across Europe since his pivotal role in Napoli's Serie A triumph last season. Despite a slight dip in form in recent months, Osimhen remains highly regarded as one of the premier strikers in world football.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
According to reports from Italian outlet , negotiations between Napoli and PSG are reaching an advanced stage, indicating Osimhen's imminent transfer to the French capital. PSG are reportedly eager to secure his services swiftly, aiming to outmanoeuvre competitors like Chelsea in the race for his signature. The French side are ready to meet Osimhen's €120m release clause and offer him an enticing four-year contract worth €13m (£11m/$14m) per season.
DISAPPOINTMENT FOR CHELSEA
For Chelsea, Osimhen was the primary target to bolster their attacking lineup. However, their financial constraints and the urgent need to comply with the Premier League's Profit & Sustainability Regulations (PSR) forced them to pull out of the race.

WHAT NEXT?
In light of the likely setback in their pursuit of Osimhen, Chelsea must turn their attention to alternative targets to address their need for a world-class number nine. Among the names being considered are RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, Brentford's Ivan Toney, Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface, and Sporting CP hitman Viktor Gyokeres. With Christopher Nkunku still struggling with fitness issues and Nicolas Jackson yet to discover his goalscoring prowess, the Blues have grown adamant about signing a forward to solve their problems in front of goal.
Nagraj Gollapudi05-Nov-2018Gautam Gambhir has criticised the Cricket Association of Bengal’s decision to invite former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin to ring the bell at Eden Gardens before the start of the first T20I between India and West Indies on Sunday. Azharuddin was banned for life by BCCI in 2000 for his role in the match-fixing scandal and soon after that Sourav Ganguly, now the CAB president, was made India captain.Azharuddin, who played 99 Test matches, has always insisted he was innocent and, in 2012, a division bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court called the BCCI life ban illegal. He attempted last year to contest elections to the Hyderabad Cricket Association, but his nomination was rejected on technical grounds.Regardless of the controversy around him, Azharuddin has retained a place in India’s cricketing fraternity and has even conducted camps for youngsters around the country. Before ringing the bell on Sunday, he was part of the Jagmohan Dalmiya Conclave, a series of programmes conducted by the CAB in memory of the former BCCI president.Gambhir became the first player to voice opposition against Azharuddin being brought back into cricketing activities.”India may have won today at Eden but I am sorry @bcci, CoA &CAB lost,” Gambhir tweeted on Sunday night. “Looks like the No Tolerance Policy against Corrupt takes a leave on Sundays! I know he was allowed to contest HCA polls but then this is shocking….The bell is ringing, hope the powers that be are listening,”Commentator and former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar also made an indirect reference to the issue, referring to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) report on the fixing case. “Guess the time has come for all of us to reacquaint ourselves with one of the most crucial documents on Indian cricket,” Manjrekar tweeted, along with a link to the report.Azharuddin rang the Eden Gardens bell a week after Ganguly revealed his “deep sense of fear and worry” at how Indian cricket was being run by the current administration led by the Committee of Administrators (CoA). Ganguly was part of a core group of players also including Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman that is widely seen to have helped repair Indian cricket after the fixing scandal hit it with full force in 2000. Ganguly is now seen as a future BCCI president.Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman at the launch of Sachin Tendulkar’s autobiographySeveral big names were implicated in the 2000 fixing scandal, including former South Africa captain Hansie Cronje. The case was handled by India’s CBI, which concluded that Azharuddin was involved in match-fixing.In its report, the CBI said: “The evidence against Azharuddin … clearly establishes the fact that he took money from bookies/punters to fix cricket matches and also the fact that the ‘underworld’ had approached him to fix matches for them.”Azharuddin, in his statement to the CBI, had admitted to receiving money from the bookie Mukesh Gupta to fix some matches, but has stated that he “did” only two matches for him – an admission the CBI called “a dilution of the actual facts”.The government then forwarded those findings to the BCCI, which appointed former CBI joint director K Madhavan as the inquiry commissioner. Madhavan’s inquiry found Azharuddin guilty and the BCCI banned him for life. The BCCI also imposed life bans on former Delhi and India batsman Ajay Sharma and Indian team physiotherapist Ali Irani, and five-year bans on batsman Ajay Jadeja and allrounder Manoj Prabhakar. In his appeal to the High Court, Azharuddin challenged Madhavan’s appointment, saying the BCCI rules did not have any provision for an inquiry commissioner and so any conclusion reached by the commissioner should be invalid. In 2012, the Court upheld Azharuddin’s appeal on the technicality relating to the appointment of inquiry commissioner.Azharuddin then approached the BCCI for a revocation of the life ban, but the ban has never been formally revoked. ESPNcricinfo understands that the BCCI was on the verge of challenging the court’s order, but turned its focus towards the IPL corruption scandal that broke in 2013, and has since not pursued the case. The matter came before the CoA last year, but it left the decision to the BCCI’s general body.No one at CAB, neither Ganguly or the secretary Avishek Dalmiya, were available for comment in response to Gambhir’s tweet. It is also understood that the CoA will not interfere in the matter, as it was the CAB that had invited Azharuddin.
In 2016, Wolverhampton Wanderers began working with football superagent Jorge Mendes to boost the profile of players coming through the door at Molineux. This partnership worked wonders as the likes of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Rui Patricio and Matheus Nunes all came to the club within the space of five years.
However, not all transfer plans can be fool-proof. While the likes of Neves and Moutinho went on to become legends at the Midlands club, Wolves did sign some duds for massive money which was facilitated by Mendes.
One of these failed signings is still on the books at Wolves, albeit on loan, but has had a turgid spell away from the club.
How much Wolves signed Goncalo Guedes for
After spending his entire youth career with Portuguese giants Benfica, Goncalo Guedes eventually made the leap to Paris Saint-Germain, joining for £25m after the French side reportedly battled it out with Manchester United for the "new Ronaldo". Nevertheless, after just a handful of matches at the Parc des Princes, the winger made the switch to Valencia for £35m.
It was at Valencia where Guedes played his best football, scoring 36 goals and recording 30 assists in 178 appearances in all competitions for Los Ches, while helping the side to Copa del Rey glory in 2019 which is still the club's first and only title in 15 years. The Portugal international's form eventually piqued the interest of Wolves, who acquired his signature eighteen months ago for £27.5m.
Unfortunately, Guedes' time at Molineux was less than impressive. The attacker featured just 18 times in all competitions for the Wanderers, including 12 in the Premier League and lasted just half a season at the club before joining Benfica on loan last January, winning the Primeira Liga in the process.
Guedes returned to the champions of Portugal this summer on loan but his second temporary spell hasn't been as successful the second time around.
Guedes' stats this season
Upon signing for the club, chairman Jeff Shi called Guedes a "high quality" player but admitted that the English side had to scrap it out with a number of different suitors right up until the last minute to secure his services.
Nevertheless, Guedes' move coincided with what was a topsy-turvy season for the Midlands club. Bruno Lage, who brought the wide-man to the club, was sacked by October and eventually replaced with former Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui, while the pressure of being Wolves' fourth-most expensive player of all time also lingered above the player.
Throughout his half-season with Wolves, Guedes scored just two goals, one against Brighton and Hove Albion in a 3-2 league defeat and one in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in the FA Cup. Still, the 26-year-old proved to be more prolific last term and actually outperformed his teammates in a number of key metrics in comparison to the previous season.

There's no question that Guedes underperformed last season considering how much money Wolves spent to bring him to Molineux. However, the Portuguese attacker also came during a turbulent campaign for the club, with the threat of relegation looming overhead.
Goncalo Guedes for Wolves
Guedes has failed to register a single goal or assist since moving back to Benfica on loan and has played just six games and 61 minutes overall. Furthermore, the player is yet to receive more than 45 minutes worth of game-time in Lisbon during a match, having totalled merely 160 minutes on the pitch.
Even Guedes' ability to play on the left, the right and up top has proved unable to offer him more game-time for Benfica this season.
Perhaps Wolves could look to recall their expensive winger when the January transfer window opens and offer him one more chance to prove himself in an orange shirt.
When Rohit Sharma completed his first ODI century in Mumbai, he took some time to savour it, settling into a relaxed acknowledgement of the applause with his arms outstretched. Even at about 60% capacity, the crowd was rather loud for their local hero.
West Indies captain Jason Holder on…
What went wrong: “We definitely didn’t play well. The way we started the series and the way we have played so far, we certainly didn’t do any justice today. Gave away too many runs. I felt it was a very good wicket, the outfield was lightning. It was a wicket where once you get in, you can go really big. Unfortunately none of our batters just really got it and gave themselves a chance to bat deep into the innings.” Coping with the rising asking rate: “The asking rate definitely plays on your mind as well, you know. Obviously a big total and you need to be up with the total for a majority of the innings. We never really got any momentum up front, lost too many wickets up front. And the two run-outs didn’t really help us. Set us back really – two of our better players, and we didn’t really have any momentum in the middle. Credit to India, they bowled reasonably well upfront and caused trouble.”
Rohit likes playing at the CCI’s Brabourne Stadium. It is the venue where he made his first T20 hundred, an unbeaten 101 against Gujarat in 2007, and two years later made 309 in a Ranji match against the same opposition.”I have played a lot of cricket at CCI and I have always enjoyed batting here,” Rohit said. “It is a good pitch and you get value for your shots. It has a fast outfield, so you don’t need to try and hit too hard. You can find the gaps, and that’s what I was looking at.”When you come to a ground where you have played enough cricket, you feel confident of going into a match. That was my mindset before walking into bat. I understand the nature of the pitch and what it does when the spinners are bowling. Those things are important. Like I said, I’ve had lot of opportunities to play here and it was going about and doing the same thing.”Rohit Sharma scored his seventh 150-plus score at Brabourne•ESPNcricinfo Ltd
This hundred, Rohit’s 21st, comes in the middle of a purple patch and falls in line with a pattern of increasing scores every time he has gone past 50 over the last month. After scores of 52 and 83* in the Asia Cup, Rohit made an unbeaten 111 against Pakistan in the same tournament, and in the next instance of making a 50-plus score, Rohit finished with an unbeaten 152 at the start of this series. Incredibly, he managed to better even that score, but the three-time ODI double-centurion said didn’t think of a fourth at any point.”While batting, I don’t think about scoring hundreds or double-hundreds. I just want to go bat, score runs and get the team to good positions,” Rohit said. “The three double-hundreds that I’ve got, I had never thought about getting them. Even today, in fact, Rayudu was telling me that I can get a double-hundred. But I was just trying to focus on my batting and not think about how I’m going to get to double-hundred. I wanted to score runs and make sure that we get enough runs because CCI can get tricky while [defending]. But we bowled well to get them out.”There were signs that Rohit was alluding to in terms of balance between bat and ball, and perhaps nothing nailed down that hypothesis better than the 224-run margin of victory. And among the stars of India’s 377 defence was left-arm fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed.”In the first innings when me and Shikhar were batting, we were not finding it that easy because it was doing a little bit,” Rohit said. “You can’t just go straight away and start playing shots. You need to spend some time. So in my opinion the pitch was on offer for both batsman and bowlers. It was probably one of the best pitches that I’ve played on in India.”When the left-armers swing the ball the way Khaleel did today, it’s always going to trouble the batsman no matter what sort of batsman he’s bowling against. If he’s swinging the ball the way he is, any batsman in the world will find it difficult. He’s maturing very fast, he understands his bowling. And the management also understands where he needs to be come the World Cup. I hope he continues to do that because it’s only going to be better for us. Come New Zealand, and the World Cup in England, where the ball swings a lot, he might be very handy there.”
Liverpool are currently nurturing the most exciting crop of youth talent that the club has boasted for a very long time, and manager Jurgen Klopp will be eager to bring some more to the first team over the next few years.
Of course, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones are important members of Klopp's system and both made their debuts under the German's leadership, but genuine prospects were few and far between before the recent improvements.
The Premier League giants currently have the likes of Ben Doak, Stefan Bajcetic and Jarell Quansah wedging their way into Klopp's plans, but there are a wealth of options awaiting a chance just below the surface, with perhaps none more gifted than Mateusz Musialowski.
Mateusz Musialowski's style of play
Take one glance at Musialowski's highlight reel, and you might shake your head incredulously as you try to understand why Klopp has yet to hand this mercurial star his first-team debut.
Alas, for all Musialowski's innate ability, questions have been raised regarding his off-the-ball activity, and after plundering 26 goals contributions across his first two campaigns in England, he scored just twice last season, falling out of favour in the penultimate year of his contract.
Liverpool signed the Pole from SMS Lodz in 2020 and he has since gone on to captivate onlookers with his tricks and skills, though inconsistency and his purported attitude have alienated him from contention for a senior call-up.
There is a chance that the player of "ridiculous" quality – as he has been praised by reporter Lewis Bower – might be salvaging his chances of a breakthrough, with the 20-year-old currently enjoying the most fruitful form of his budding career.
Indeed, this season Musialowski has posted six goals and two assists from just eight appearances, having scored across all three of Liverpool's ventures in the EFL Trophy against senior opposition.

While Musialowski's future is very much up in the air right now – it seemed he was certain to leave Merseyside this summer – his recent form has been the best way to prove his worth, and he might even be the most naturally talented player within the academy ranks.
How Mateusz Musialowski compares to Ben Doak
Hailed as "excellent" by Andy Kelly, Musialowski might even be more gifted than Doak, though the flourishing Scotsman's dynamism, athleticism and work-rate have won him a position in Klopp's senior set-up.
Indeed, Doak has made nine senior appearances for Liverpool and has earned shots from the outset in the Europa League and the Carabao Cup.
Dubbed a "prodigy” by reporter Keifer MacDonald, the 18-year-old is a swashbuckling, breakneck winger with a low centre of gravity to allow him to swivel and weave through the lines, and there is a chance that he will emerge as one of the Premier League's forwards in the years to come.
Ben Doak for Liverpool.
Doak has scored 11 goals and supplied eight assists from just 27 matches for Liverpool's youth sides, though given the prolificness of Musialowski right now, there must be a feeling that he could transport his qualities to the senior stage with careful management over the coming months.
Doak's application and determination have won him a place in Klopp's plans, and if his Polish counterpart can ramp up the gas in that department a bit, he may well lead a successful career down the line.
